Liberia Village School Project 2016-2017
Education Is The Solution : Help Us Help Them !
Back in 2011, a team of Joy Foundation arrived in the little village of Zorkulewen, situated in Dewoin District (Bomi County Republic of Liberia, West Africa). After surveying the situation, they contacted the Foundation's head office, in the US, to start launching a charity operation aiming at providing food, clothes, baby supplies and toys for the villagers.
Thanks to the help and good will of many in the US and many other places around the world, we were able to organise a distribution operation in 2012.
The next step was to be education. Following the distribution, the villagers appealed to the JMM team to consider their children’s education by helping them build a school in the village, as they lacked the necessary resources to sent their children to the big city for school.
In 2016, after much consideration, the Joy Foundation head office decided to officially start the project of building an elementary school in Zorkulewen.
Now, more than ever, we need your help so that the children of Zorkulewen can afford going to school and access education.
- with $25, a child get his/her uniform for the school year.
